Heyyyy, Folks...
We arrived in San Diego last Thursday a couple of hours late due to weather over Texas. We circled Dallas awhile before landing then were #30 in line to take off from the runway. A good book and snoozing both came in handy on this flight.
I LUV the San Diego airport. It has a nice feel and really neat sea-things embedded in the walls. As we headed for the baggage claim area this trip, music in the distance progressively grew louder. And as we descended the escalator, we were completely engulfed by the blend of instrumental sounds coming from a small local band. Weary passenger faces brightened, dragging steps became livelier, smiles bloomed where only moments before the knitted brows of frustration had reigned. What a wonderful welcome!
Trip Tip: Snooze going west ... stay awake coming back east. This is my "magic bullet" for making the 3 hour time adjustment from the east coast to the west. Unfortunately, I goofed and snoozed coming back east too, so I had a tad of adjusting to do this past week. :{/
Eating Tip: The Poseidon Restaurant in Del Mar ... on the beach with outside patio. Good food, wonderful vibes!
Chip Tip: Another good eating place ...The Fish Market just east of the show. Marvelous food, goood fish & chips and other seafood , fun waiters!
Show Tip: There was a fantastic line-up of Exhibitors at this show ... if you missed it, you missed a good one, Folks.
For those of you who were there, thanks for making this show so much fun! I think I demoed at this show more than usual ... a blister on one of my stippling fingers attests to this. Your interest in seeing techniques ran high, and you weren't shy about asking. I like that in a stamper.
Booth Help Tip: I'm positive we had the #1 crew for booth help in Del Mar ... Carol S and Sonia R both Saturday and Sunday, plus Holly J on Sunday. You three were wonderful! And were yet another reason Mr Evo & I enjoyed this show so much.
Waiting for our flight to leave Monday morning, I walked out onto the Skyway bridge and looked out over the airport. I couldn't help remembering being in that same spot a year ago, less than two weeks after 9/11. The airport then was like a ghost town. One or two cars only could be seen driving up to drop passengers off. The parking lots were almost empty. Inside the airport was the same ... echoing with emptiness. I was pleased to see the hustle and bustle this year. And although I know the volume of travelers is still down, it's happening, Folks. Welcome back! :}>
I have a few photos to share ... you can see them at

We have two more shows scheduled this year and are hoping to see a lot of you there!
Virginia Beach, VA - Oct. 2nd ...with special fee classes to sign up for on Friday
And Mesa, AZ - November 2nd & 3rd.
Both should be good shows ... looking forward to seeing a lot of you there!
