Evo's Del Mar, CA Show Journal

Evo's Journal - a gift from Leila! :}>

Evo's Del Mar Journal Cover...
Leila chose a white mulberry paper and soft aqua cardstock for the cover
to set off our New~Never-Before-Seen #37 Paper-Molded Sea Shells.
The size of the closed Journal is 5" x 7".

Leila had already placed some photos and reduced scans of the show brochure in my journal. I've added some of the cards I created while demoing during the show, plus a couple of photos of my own. All the images were stamped with Document Black Ink Pad, and Memories Rainbow Pads were used for the stippling. I used the Big Blue Brushes for stippling around the EvoTemplates and larger areas, and used the Li'l Blues (which are really Teal colored) with the EvoStencils.

#37 Sea Shells were stamped, then color was stippled in using #37 Sea Shells Stencil. A soft "frame effect" was created by stippling around Rectangle and Oval EvoTemplates. Three shells were "shadowed" by off-setting the stencil a tad and stippling.

#8A Froggie & Lily Pads were stamped , then color was stippled in using #8A Froggie Stencil. The horizon was created by stippling along the straight edge of the stencil. Shadows were created by off-setting the stencil a tad and stippling.

#64 Turtles and #37 Sea Shells were stamped, then color was stippled in using #64 and #37 Stencils. The horizon was created by stippling along the straight edge of one of the stencils. Rectangle EvoTemplates were then cut around to create the frame effect in the sky, allowing the white journal page to show through.

#43 leaf was stamped to completely cover card, then 3 leaf shapes from #42 Stencil were stippled over them. Rectangle and Rectangle/Betweenie EvoTemplates were used to do our "lifted layering" technique, allowing the black background cardstock to show through.

#69 Flowers were stamped to completely cover card, then #69 Stencil was used to stipple color.

#74 Pine Cones were stamped, then #74 Stencil was used to stipple color and create the shadow and more silhouettes of the pine cones. Rectangle and Rectangle/Betweenie EvoTemplates were used to create the framing, allowing the black card stock to show through.

#12A Sea Life images were stamped, then #12A Stencil was used to stipple color and create shadows. Again, the edge of the stencil was used to stipple in a horizon line. Stippling around two Rectangle EvoTemplates created the "Illusion of Layering" around the card.

#12A Sea Life, Leila's business card & an incredible local plant!

Thanks, Leila ... I'll enjoy my Del Mar Journal for years to come and...
all the neat memories of a very special weekend.
