One Seminar, Three Shows ... 7 Weeks

Heyyyyyy, Folks...

Mr Evo and I have had 4 trips in 7 weekends ... 1 seminar plus 3 shows (+ the Spring Cyberconvention) ... and I'm finding myself wayyyy behind in my reports. Soooo, here in a nutshell, is where we've been and what's been happening those 7 weeks:
Enchanted Ink Seminar:
January 23rd, 24th & 25th, 2004

St Francisville, LA was the place to be
The weekend of January 23!
Enchanted Ink's Book-Making Seminar took place then...
So put it on your calendar if she does it again.

Book ideas ran rampant with all the makings on hand...
Eighteen ladies in Free-Flowing-Creativity-Land!
Stamping, cutting, gluing, sewing and more...
Papers and fibers and other embellishments galore!

Three days of absolutely glorious inventive camaraderie...
Much too short a time for such a fantastic spree.
Thanks, Redstick and all of you book-makers there,
For allowing Mr Evo and I to enjoy and share!
And, yes! I took photos! :}>

During the Seminar, this beautiful White Heron
"knocked" on the door and waited to join the fun... This White Heron knocked and waited
And paced and waited and waited
and waited and waited and waited... and paced and waited and waited...

Heirloom New Orleans Show
February 14th, 2004

Three weekends later was the New Orleans show,
So back in the car Mr Evo and I go.
The landscape looked familiar and so did the rain,
Taking another trip to Louisiana so soon again.

T'was the beginnings of Mardi Gras in New Orleans that week,
You could feel celebration in the air & see it in the street.
T'was the first rubber stamp show ever in that part of the world,
And we thank all who came and gave it a whirl!

Thanks to Redstick and Ben and southern gentleman Bo
And Shannon and Taylor and Jayson Green for your help at the show!
Your presence was a delight, your exuberance supreme,
Swift packing up was accomplished with such a delightful team!
And, yes! I took photos! :}>

I would be remiss if I didn't mention somewhere...
That Mr Evo and I visited Buloxi both trips,
(coming home and driving there);
The Imperial Palace was our host, and they treated us fine...
They let us play games, rest, and have a great time!

Heirloom San Mateo, CA Show
February 21st and 22nd, 2004

We arrived home Monday night and started right away
Playing catch-up big time, preparing for our flight out Thursday.
Hurried and harried, we actually made the flight...
Then "crashed" at our hotel for a longgg restful night.

Friday set-up was a breeze thanks to our help "extraordinaire"...
Judy Perry and Doris Murai's DH Jim were there!
By mid-afternoon we were in fine shape with the booth...
Then back to the hotel again for more rest and recoup.

The San Mateo show is always a treat...
So many friends to see again and new ones to meet.
Veronika and Teh-Shan were a couple of the new...
Thanks for your help Sat & Sunday, you two!

Sunday's pack-up of the booth went as smooth as ducks on a pond;
With the additional help of Veronika's lovely daughter Tiffany and Dh Ron.
We all adjourned to TGI Friday's a short time later,
For R & R, good food, and our own Mardi Gras necklaces (San Mateo style)bestowed upon us by our waiter.
And yes! I took photos! :}>

Heirloom Duluth, GA Show
March 7th & 8th, 2004

One weekend free then back in the car, because it was time
To drive toward Atlanta with Cevo & Stephanie following close behind.
The show was great, the people were greater,
And my "nutshell" reports are growing longer as the day gets later.

Sooooo, I'm gonna stop right now! Well, right after I thank you, Beverly Baxter, for your 3 days of spectacular help in our booth! And thanks to Cevo and granddaughters Lauren and Stephanie. Atlanta is always a fun show for us ... it's like going back home.
And, no... I didn't take photos. Where was my head?? :{/

Well, I do have one photo of Mr Evo and his new goatee. His goatee was only a few days old at the Atlanta show, and after a few comments about forgetting to shave his chin from his immediate family ... he decided to poll the stampers at the show.

The rest is history: you who voted, voted in an overwhelming majority "for" the goatee. What were you thinking?? Where did I fail you?? What did I ever do to you to deserve this?? And... how can I make it up to you so that you'll change your vote???

While you're pondering these mysteries ... care to vote again? But now, you have three votes to cast!
