Heyyy, Folks...

Well, this past couple of weeks of two rubber stamp shows back-to-back has taught the Evo's some very valuable lessons (once again).

Lesson #1... Flexibility

Yep, even when you have an iron-clad-guaranteed-to-be-successful schedule. And forget plan B. Plan B rarely works unless you know in advance that Plan A is gonna fail and why...which is rarely the case.

Case in point #1 ... As many of you know who read our Milwaukee show report last week, we had 1 1/2 days to unpack and re-pack for the Las Vegas show. Not to worry! Helper Ron would surely be on the scene to help vulcanize new rubber, package templates and pack our 7 bins for the show.

Er, um... major failure of Plan A here and major revamp ... Ron was another "no-show", but we did indeed make our flight to Las Vegas! And, we were packed! Yes! Mr Evo, Cevo and I made the flight with minutes to spare!

Case in point #2 ... We knew we would be back home around noon this past Monday from the Las Vegas Show to answer emails and orders and unpack and begin shipping again. Not to worry! An iron-clad Delta schedule assured us of this.

Er, um, major failure of plan A here. Cevo, 20 minutes after take-off from the Las Vegas airport, started experiencing more difficulties that started in Las Vegas. As many of you know, she was to make Mr Evo and I grandparents again in November. Mother Nature had other plans ... seems the little one bowed out some weeks ago, and Cevo's body was just this week getting the message. Many tears and tests later at Baylor Medical Center in Grapevine, Texas, we finally arrived home in Florida tonight.

Lesson #2 ... Acceptance and Trust

Acceptance of "what is". Not always easy... but absolutely neccessary, I think. Mother Nature and the Universe knows when something is "not right" and tries to take care of it in the best way possible. Our role was much simpler ... simply to accept what is and trust it's for the best.

Lesson #3 ... Thankfulness

And along that train of thought...

Las Vegas! We love this town, and we love this show. And we're thankful that we could be there and meet so many of you again and some for the first time.

Lorraine from Canada... soooooo good to see you! And soooo glad you could make the trip. Roz from Florida ... what a surprise! See you again in July at the Orlando show! And Claudia from LV, and Helen, and Carlotta and all of you from the LV area... thanks for being there. And... Orchids to Adrienne and AndiMom and Patty for being there to help us. And Orchids to Mechele of Stamp Dr for talking with Cevo and quieting her fears.

And thanks to Sheryl Porter for letting me wear the HALOS wings for a few minutes. And to Kristy of Time to Stamp for sending myriads of stampers and even her Father over to our booth during the show to deliver "wanna be in your poem" messages, and cracking us up with laughter.

"There once was a stamper named Kristy
She made us laugh 'til our eyes were misty
But in a poem she ain't...
'Cause finish the rhyme I cain't
'Cause the closest I can come is Frisky!"

And thanks to all of you whose names I don't know or am not remembering at the moment. And thanks to Jimm and Audrey for sponsoring this rs show.

And thanks to Delta for their unbelievable help and caring. And thanks to the two first class passengers who gave up their seats to Cevo and me so she could elevate her feet until we could land at the DFW airport. And I could go on and on and on... so for now I'll simply say a heart-felt thanks to all.

Except for one more Orchid... and an important one. Orchids to Cevo for all she does and is and will be. Cevo... we couldn't do it without you. You're the best ever.

Since April 29 ... our email has apparently been bouncing all over the country. I am truly sorry for this. Plan A definitely failed, so please be flexible, accept our apologies, and trust that we'll stand by any special offers that we made even if we didn't get your email, and we are ohhhhhh sooooo thankful for your understanding.

We're back! Our email is working again, so please re-send if you received a bounce. It will take us time to get caught up and answer you, sooooo ...

Lesson #4 ... Patience

Maybe the hardest lesson of all, but if we all work together on this, we'll all gonna be winners! And that's an Evo promise. :}>

To Evo's Mailing List... We offered free US shipping on all orders through Monday, April 30, midnight. Obviously we weren't back by then and our email was bouncing, so we're extending the offer through tomorrow (Saturday) night midnight, your time. Shipping will be a tad slower than usual... a lot of catching up to do. Thanks to all of you for being here.
