Heyyyyy, Folks...
Just arrived home around 1230 last night from Mesa and leaving Thursday morning for the Milwaukee show, so if I'm gonna do this report, I'd better do it now!
Our trip to Mesa went well except for a 1/4 mile sprint for our plane in Atlanta. All my fault ... I accept that responsibility. We had a 2.5 hour layover in Atlanta, so we went to our favorite food spot where no tables were available. This nice young gentleman offered to share his table, and we accepted and are sooooooo glad we did! But ... he must also share half the responsibility for our 1/4 mile sprint. If he knew about it ... I'm sure he would.
His name is Otto and is from AZ. He's in the Navy ... stationed in Stuttgart, Germany ... and was on his way to Ottawa for a convention.
Do you believe in synchronicity? Being in the right place at the right time for a reason? Well, that's the way I felt ... talking with Otto. Mr Evo & I got to share world travel stories with him and had a ball! And ... we left the restaurant in plenty of time to make our plane to Phoenix ... we thought.
Trouble was ... the gate for departure had changed and we hadn't checked (which we normally do) to make sure the gate was the same as scheduled. This particular concourse is 1/2 mile long ... and we had to race back in the opposite direction to catch our plane. When we arrived at the correct gate, no passengers were to be seen ... only the attendants having a nice relaxed chat.
Believe it or not ... Mr Evo beat me to the gate by quite a few yards, and the attendant said ... "We've been looking for you!" ... and let us board the plane with 3 minutes to spare. My gut feeling? If I had arrived first?? He would have said ... "We've been looking for you, but you're tooooo late!" That's the affect Mr Evo has on people. Thank you, Mr Evo, for your charm!!!!!!
This was the first time ever that we've done the Spring Show in Mesa. We had to miss Mesa's fall show last year, so we "sprang" for the "spring" show this year.
And, we're sooooo glad we went!
You came with excitement and exuberance and glee!
You seemed sooooo pleased to see Mr Evo and me!
You watched my demos never giving me a rest ...
You "ooohed and ahhhed" and responded with zest!
You spurred me on to be the best that I could be
And inspired me to go that next step just to see
...
What would happen if I did this or this ... or
heaven forbid ... even this!
Your friendly response to my demos, truly, kept me
in bliss.
Thanks to Cyndy Cisel and daughter Katey for your help! Katey ... we hope your allergies are better ... get well! And Cyndy? Thanks for your "above & beyond the call to duty" for making signs for us Sat nite for the products we ran out of to let stampers know that we do indeed ship "Free" any product that we run out of at the shows. Most of those show orders went out today. The rest will go out tomorrow.
And thanks to my sister Grace and hubby Ernie in Phoenix for your "Ernie&Grace-Mobile", "Ernie&Grace-Motel", and "Ernie&Grace-Cafe". We LUV visiting with you once a year when we do the Mesa Show ... and Grace????? I forgive you for not being a stamper! ;}>
Our trip home was uneventful until we reached the Tampa airport. I won't go into the gory details, but ... Mr Evo???????? I'll never, ever follow you again ...after 12 hours in airports and planes... to the remote parking shuttle area with my eyes half closed. I forgive you for getting us lost, though. And ... it was worth missing the first shuttle to get the next one with my favorite driver ... the one that always says, as he drops us off at our car ... "Have a blessed evening".
And to all of you? Mr Evo & I wish You a "Blessed Evening".
