Heyyy, Folks...
Whoa, Pennsauken! A fantastic show!
The weather was perfect, you stampers were perfect, and we earned $500 Monday by sitting longer at airports than we had planned. I LIKE when that happens. Mr Evo and I were pooped puppies when we finally arrived home late, late Monday night, but we were happy pooped puppies.
In fact, earning an extra bonus for being flexible in our flight schedule has allowed us to decide to add an extra show this year. Thank you, Delta!
And thanks to everyone that helped us set up Friday... you saved our lives. (Betsy, Lisa, Cheryl, Marcia and Jann). We had bazillions of EvoTemplates and Powdered Pearls to be bagged, and without you, we would have still been doing it by the time the show opened the next day.
And thanks to Mary Ann, Trish, Linda M, Dee, Penny, Linda W, Karen and Dariel, we had lots of help Saturday and Sunday. I understand Betsy even tried to jump in and help at a particularly crowded time on Saturday, but she couldn't find a space to even stand. Thanks, Betsy, you tried!
Sunday was more laid back but still busy. Mr Evo and I both actually got to walk around some and see the other booths. We couldn't have done that without you fabulous 4 Sunday helpers.
Unfortunately, I missed the meeting at our booth (well, er, um, around the trash barrel in front of the booth) at noon Saturday. My demo was at 11:30 and I arrived back at the booth about 45 minutes later to a packed booth, so I jumped in and helped write up sales. I did get to meet a lot of you, though, and I'm sooooo glad you did let me know who you were.
Honesty Award for the day goes to Sharon G. In the excitement of the moment of seeing her and Hippy, I forgot to stick out my hand to take her money for her purchase, lol. Sharon was the hit of the stampers in line in the booth when she snuck up behind me and handed me her money. I heard a lot of laughter, a couple of hooray's and several... "Hey! I want a sale like the one she got!".
And, Pickles were at Pennsauken! :{<> Betsy presented me with Dills, Mary Kay of Stamp Camp had the pickle bag to put them in, and Sharon presented me with Sweet Pickles. Maybe that's why I forgot to take her money. :}>
I must mention 2 special events at this show that impressed me big time:
Kiva of Kiva Enterprises had a stamper-get-together Saturday night at her store in Mount Holly, NJ, after the show. I understand that it was a really wonderful night for the stampers that attended. And, I understand Kiva is planning something wonderful for stampers for the August Pennsauken show, also, so watch for announcements in the future about that event.
And... Nancy B of Stamp-Art Express in Lewisburg, PA brought over 40 stampers by bus to the show, Saturday! :{<> I talked with Nancy today, and she was still elated over the adventure, and so are her customers.
If you're in the area of these stores, please stop by and say "hi" to them; I know you won't regret it. These ladies know what you want and go out of their way to make you happy.
Ohhhh, time for me to wrap this up. I'm boiling peanuts for a date tomorrow afternoon with two long-time friends to go on a week-end camping trip in South Georgia. It's usually an annual thing we do, but we missed last year. Had something to do with my snoring too loud in the camper the year before. This year I have a mini-van to camp out in, so I'll give it another try. Real friends don't keep friends awake with their snoring, lol.
