Well, Folks...

A run-of-the-mill-show??? I think not...
And here's Evo to tell you "the why and the what".

Where to begin??? What to say...
Guess I'll just ramble through it, 'cause that's my way.

Portland, Oregon show was the place to be ...
This Labor Day week end for lots of you and for me.

Well, there are plus's (+) and minus's (-) to any show as you know...
So here in Evo's words are both for this show:

(-) My heart goes out to Zana of Stamp Zia whose car was robbed of all her "stuff" in the parking lot of her hotel. And when I say "stuff", I'm talking about all of her product, her booth set-up... everything but some of her display cards that were safe at First Impressions. Zana was not at the show ... she flew back home before set-up. As many of you know, Zana has unbelievable stamps and stamping techniques. Zana, you were missed by us all!

(-) All plane flights going to Portland and coming back were late. Don't even ask, don't even go there, 'cause we finally arrived home at 2 am this morning in Fla but are still alive, awake and kicking! Well, I am... Mr Evo is zzzzzzzzzzzz-ing right now. :}>

(+) Met Janine from Australia!!!!!!!!!! And, the rumor that the only reason Evo luvs Janine is for her Chocolate is unfounded! And if anyone dares suggest that Evo didn't share her chocolate from Down Under?????? That's a (-)! Janine... so gooooood to finally get to meet you!

(++) A fantastic line-up of vendors! Demo's and new ideas in abundance. I tried to get to all the booths to see what was going on but only made it to a few. What I saw and remember... (I'm sure I saw more, just can't remember! :{<>)

Pop-Ups By Plane... had their usual awesome "pop-up" templates + they had the Swivel-Clip-Board by Alextamping. I bought one and LUV it!

SAR ... Some Assembly Required... with their 3-D stamps & stuff. I'm always in awe of their "stuff". Wanna do it and will one day!

Bits & Pieces ... a new vendor for me... had awesome fibers and ribbon, and she was wearing a sweater made of these!!! :{<> Think of what you could do with these on cards. Well, you probably wouldn't wear the cards but would make a LOT of stampers happy by embellishing your cards with these fibers and ribbons.

Stonewood Gardens... were demoing paper-making. Awesome paper made with toilet seat protector paper (yes, you read that right), napkins, rose petals. expresso coffee grounds and other mind-boggling stuff, mixed with water in a blender. Then ironing it flat with a real iron!!! :{<> (Evo thinks that's the best and highest use of a blender and iron she's seen in a lonnnnnnnng time. :}>)

Appaloosa Art Stamps ... with the original line of AAS stamps and more! Susan and Rosem have added their own personality into their new company.

Amy's Magic ... with demos and Make-It-Take-it... their booth was always surrounded by "in awe" stampers.

Polly's Pals ... with her wonderful stencils. And did you know there's a Mr Polly??? Mr Evo took a photo of him. I'll try to get show photos up soon. And, if I don't??? Email me and say... "Evo, we want Portland photos, please!!!"

Second Star On The Right ... I bought Cevo a present from them... the unmounted violets. I wanted to get Cevo the daisy's too, but they were all sold out by Sunday morning when I made it to their booth. :{/ Cevo cried when I gave her the violets today. She couldn't believe I remembered her saying a couple of weeks ago when she saw the stamps on the CyberMall that she liked them. Yep... sometimes God does grace me with memory at the right times. :}>

And speaking of memory...
(-) I'm stating here and now for all to see that Evo doesn't always remember everything. I remember names of stampers that have ordered from us by email ... some of you for years! I remember faces, too! But... sometimes (most times) I can't put the faces and names together when I see you at shows. Your face will be familiar, but... I probably can't put a name to your face. If you tell me your name, yes! But... I still may not be able to put your name and face together next year when I see you again. I call it "show-white-out" of the evo-mind. Not sure what else to call it, and I hate when it happens.

(+) I LUV it when you come to our booth and say... "I'm me, remember????" ... and give me your name again and forgive me for not being able to put name and face together automatically every time.

(-) I don't live in Portland. :{/ Such beautiful weather, even when it's raining! No high humidity, just nice. Love to go there. The air feels soooooooo fresh. Mr Evo freezes there, I thrive there. (This marriage will never last another 40 years)

(+) Special Plus's to Enchy and Janet D M and Laura N of Lorrie's Lovelies and Debbie F for all the help you gave us at this show! It's a time-worn phrase but still a bigger-than-life true one for me ... we couldn't have done it without you! Thank you, thank you, thank you... for being there for us.

(-) or (+) ???? The Portland show/people report is over. Thanks for hanging in here this long. And if you didn't???? That's OK, too. :}>

(+) But if you did... here's some photos for you!
