Heyyy, Folks...
(Tuesday, May 23rd)
Oh my word... if you haven't already heard,
Puyallup was a blast!!!
Funner than fun... in rain and in sun,
Can't believe it's in the past! :{/
We arrived home today ... and let me say,
We're tired but happy, it's true!
We met so many... stampers a-plenty,
Old 'puter friends and made new ones too! :}>
(Thursday night, May 25th, tonight)
Okey dokey, I started my Puyallup show report the day that Mr Evo and I
arrived home, Tuesday afternoon. (see above). I really, really tried to
finish it but got caught up in life and jet lag and life and emotion and
life and life.
I've ditched the funny stuff of our trip to Puyallup through Chicago
(because of a hailstorm) being cancelled on American Airlines, then
traipsing (is that a word?) back and forth between American and TWA and
finally to Delta to get out of Tampa to hopefully arrive in Puyallup, WA
for the show, only to be held up for 4 hours on the runway in Dallas
waiting for a storm to pass. (Shannon! Where were you and your limousine
when all this happened? :{<>)
Oh my. We arrived in Puyallup. WA at 3:30 in the morning on Friday (6:30
am Fla time) ... and this is the beginning of my story, I guess.
Rosemary (who I talked out of meeting us at the airport at midnight, and I
love her dearly for offering) and Karen and, the night manager! :{<>
were outside the Holiday Express Hotel at 4:00 am when we finally arrived 3
and 1/2 hours late, waiting and worrying about us. Whoa. We felt loved
and cared about, and wondered how we deserved this. We still don't know.
But, we would wait eons for both Karen and Rosemary from now to eternity.
That's how much we appreciated their concern.
Puyallup show... our first time there. We were told to expect hoards of
stampers converging on our booth. This year the crowd was a tad lighter
than we had been told to expect. Which means... we had more time to talk
with you, show you what we had to offer, get to know who you were. And,
give a few more hugs. We like it that way. :}>
Thanks to all of you who let us know who you were. Met a LOT of Canadian
friends! With a maple leaf flag on their cheek! I questioned one Canadian
stamper why all Canadians were born with flags on their cheeks. She
hinted... it's because of the in-breeding. LOL, I know she was pulling my
leg,... 'cause if that were true, I would have been born with a peach on my
cheek, being born in Tifton, Georgia. ;}>
Thanks to all of you at Puyallup, we had a really successful show. Not
only monetarily (is that a word?), but, more important, we got to meet you.
I want to thank Rosem and Enchy and Serene and Amanda and Laura and Donna
Lee and Jody (who we grabbed out of the crowd of stampers! :{<>) and
Ellen and Faye and Karen and ohhhhh, am I forgetting anyone???? for helping
us set up and in our booth during the weekend. We couldn't have done it
without you.
And, a very special thanks to a very special person across the aisle from
us (you know who you are) for being there and still there, now and in the
future.
I can't tell you that doing the rubber stamp shows is a "job". No, I can't
. It's where Mr Evo and I are 'at" and we thank you for being there, too.
And, we thank Cevo, who in spite of her leg injury, hung in here at the
office to take your orders and get them out! :{<> I didn't expect that.
I really expected nothing to go out until we returned. Seems Stephanie
(11) and Adam (8 and 1/2 and we all know how important that "1/2" is)
were her "go-phers" to collect your orders and help tape and take out for
the PO to pick up. Orchids to Stephanie and Adam... may all your troubles be
rubber bubbles! :}>
