Heyyyyy, Folks...

Our trip to the Heirloom Productions Puyallup show in a nutshell?

Wednesday Before the Trip: (pun intended)
I tripped and broke a toe during final packing Wednesday night while getting ready to leave for Puyallup early the next morning . Mr Evo commented (as usual), "That wouldn't have happened if you had had your shoes on".

Side Note: Evo grew up barefooted in the south while Mr Evo grew up in NJ and never knew what his bare feet looked like except during baths and sleeping. Poor Mr Evo. :{/

Side Note: Evo has a minimum of 7 broken toes but won't give into any suggestion other than that barefoot at home is the only way to be. Evo's philosophy? "To be barefoot is to be happy." After 3 more broken toes? Evo may listen to Mr Evo about the "shoes at home thang", but between you and me? That's extremely doubtful. ;}>

Thursday morning at the Tampa Airport:
Remember Edgar Allen Poe's story, "The Purloined letter"? I had my carry-on luggage purloined! Getting off the shuttle from economy parking ... I kept waiting for my wheeled carry-on to come off the bus. One carry-on was left on the sidewalk after everyone was gone but Mr Evo and myself. The shuttle bus driver looked at me and said, "Please tell me that's your carry-on!" People pleaser that I am, I would have loved to have been able to tell him that it was but couldn't.

Panic appeared on the bus driver's face as I quickly read the tag on the "unclaimed" carry-on and ran into the terminal to page the owner. All turned out well ... apparently J. Cox heard my page and raced back to exchange luggage. Said bus driver met me with a smile as I approached the bus. I tipped him well. He deserved it ... he hung in there and sat in the bus waiting while I made the call.

Friday before the show:
Set-Up begins at noon. Enchy and Debi were there to help Mr Evo and I set up. Bless you! Yes! We do need set-up help! Especially when "everything goes wrong" as it did during this set-up. Thank you both for being there!

Friday night class:
I confess ... I'm a morning person and don't do anything late at night if I can help it ... especially when the night class at 6:30 pm on the west coast translates into 9:30 pm Fla time and ends at 11:30 pm! :{<>

However ... I was there and 9 other stampers who had signed up for my class were there, too. And, ladies, you invigorated me! I saw your faces and eagerness and friendliness and jumped right in as if I were truly a "night" person. Thank you, Barbara and Vicki and Laurie and Kay and Susan and Cindy and Jan and Stacey and Debbie for being in the class. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

And thank you, Maggie and Serene, for being there to help on Saturday and Sunday, too. You were wonderful!

Side note: Cynthia Sullivan (CLion) got to go on a $25 shopping spree in Puyallup for her article featuring our stamps in Stamping Arts & Crafts Magazine. Yes! We do appreciate stampers using our stamp images, EvoTemplates, EvoCork and other products in published magazine creations. We LUV giving you $25 shopping sprees!

Saturday & Sunday:
You came, you saw, and you did the best that you could!
With the economy situation, you ...my fellow stamper ... you did good!
You came with a smile and with a budget in mind,
Wanting to see new things and new techniques to find.
And you did! You saw all of these "thangs"
And enjoyed the benefits of what that creative search "brangs".
My hat is off to you ... and Mr Evo's is too!
Because we were in Puyallup, and you were too!

And, we thank you for that. Each and everyone of you.

Sad note: I got a ticket at the Puyallup airport while checking in curbside luggage. Seems the rule is ... "driver must stay with the car at all times". Mr Evo was in the car but was sitting in the passenger seat reading the newspaper. Granted, he wasn't designated driver with Dollar Rental Car, but ... if he had been standing by the car instead of sitting in passenger seat reading his newspaper and laying back and enjoying his "quiet" time ... said ticket wouldn't have been issued. My fault for not reading the signs at the airport parking area. But it's still Mr Evo's fault, isn't it????????? :{<> Isn't he the one that should have to pay and mail the $20 fine????????

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
