Heyyy, Folks...
Well, what can I say! We arrived home at 2 am this morning due to flight delays out of San Francisco, therefore missing our connection in Atlanta, so if I type blurrry... you'll know why.
SAN MATEO:
"S" - Stampers, you were wonderful! Not a lot of you at this show, but you made it worthwhile for us. We'll do our best to be back next year. Thank you!
"A" - As at all the shows, we were made to feel welcome, and we loved seeing the few of you that we've met before in person and soooo many of you we've known on-line but met face to face for the first time. Thanks for being there!
"N" - Not to cast a dampening note, but... it WAS cold and rainy in San Mateo. Er, um, something we're not used to here in Florida ... well not much, anyway. However... we were witness to the most Fantastic-Perfect-In-Every-Way-Rainbow we have ever seen, early Sunday (or was it Saturday?) morning on our way to the show. Unbelievably vibrant and beautiful.
"M" - My tip for the day... Take a map if you're planning to rent a car and return to the terminal to pick up hubby & luggage within any reasonable length of time. Being the instinctive navigator I am, I didn't need one. It took me 20 minutes max to take the shuttle to Budget Rental, pick up our van and leave the garage. And only an additional hour and 2 "please help me" stops to find Arrivals again to pick up Mr Evo and our 6 bins. Wanna know about all the towns surrounding the airport? I'm an expert! :}>
"A" - A big bouquet of orchids to Cevo who took care of the office and emails and orders while we were gone. However, folks... please, please do NOT post how fast and good she is. She is beginning to exhibit signs of an inflated ego. :{< Now, I ask you... why would I EVER consider her request to change the name of our company to "Cevolving Images". Yep... that's how bad it is, and it's all your fault, folks. :{/
"T" - Thanks to Viveca ( who helped set up 3 hours Friday and even took stuff home to work on... and helped all day Saturday) and Kimberly (who had planned to help only Saturday but returned Sunday and even stayed to help us pack up) and Doris (who popped in Friday just seconds after Viveca had to leave and also helped on Saturday) for your wonderful help! You saved our lives. We couldn't have done the show without you. And ... to Brenda, who, like the proverbial knight on the proverbial white horse rode in (after reading our distress body signals) to fill in while I was in class and Kimberly was taking a long-overdue break. Amazing, all of you.
"E" - Even though we had to leave to return to Florida, our memories of this show will remain very special to us, thanks to all of you wonderful stampers.
"O" - Oh, and yes, our (Mr Evo's and my) relationship did survive this trip. Contrary to popular belief, I did NOT leave the car (as he was ranting and raving about my trying to turn left over an unseen median after dinner Sunday night only to find myself facing on-coming traffic) and/or suggest to him he take care of the situation if he could have done better (after all, he IS the one that told me to take a left). Nope, I calmly took care of the situation myself, followed his every direction of how to get back to our near-by hotel with no back talk on my part (all 30 minutes of it as we circled the same area several times). And, as soon as we're talking again, I'll tell him I love him "anyway". ;}.
Today is Tuesday. Either late Thursday or early, early Friday morning we will be on our way to the Duluth, Georgia show, depending on how fast we progress with our packing for the show, here. Looking forward to seeing a lot of you there!
And, yes! We will need help in Duluth. Set up is Friday from 12 noon to 6 pm. Let me know if you are free and can help. We pay in product and have a tad of fun, too.
