Heyyy, Folks...

Been home a day and getting my ducks "sort-of" in a row. Had a delightful trip to San Mateo! The flight to and from on Delta went well... two flights delayed an hour, but we half-way expected that. Still hoping they get their schedules squared away soon. And still hanging in with them! They smile so nicely when they let you know your flight will be leaving late... it's hard to be too upset. :}>

Our favorite Tampa Airport bartender Rick is moving... next time we fly he'll be at Chili's on F instead of on C. :{/ He made a point to let us know, so hopefully one day we'll arrive early enough to drop by to see him. Such a nice guy... our trips won't be the same without our chats with him. And, there's still hope he could become an actual rubber stamper!

The San Mateo show took place with gray skies and rainy weather, but that didn't stop the stampers from coming. You guys are soooo tough! Mr Evo and I froze the whole time we were there, but we're thin blooded from living in Fla these past 15 years... so you can't judge the temperature by our reactions.

I'm happy to report I made some purchases! I don't alway have time to shop around at shows, but I did at this one. I bought an assorted pack of Hand-Made papers from East-West that I'm really proud of and hope to actually use them soon! Lots of wonderful colors and textures... $7 for the lot.

And, I bought an unmounted stamp from Meer Image that I'm in love with. Couldn't resist... had to have it! A very simple stamp... but soooo eloquent. We've tried soooo many ways of saying nicely on packages we send out... "Please do not Bend"... "Bend me not, Thanks a Lot!"... "Bend me and your next 3 years will be spent sleepless from the Guilt"... but I think this stamp may get the job done. It simply says... NO BENDY! I dearly love it, and Mr Evo is already using it. :}>

I actually took time to watch Pop Ups By Planes' demo. Looked soooo easy and soooo much fun! And RSM had for sale the first RSM I ever bought. In fact, it was the first rubber stamping magazine I ever saw. Sept/Oct of 1994. That was the magazine that opened my eyes to the possibilities of rubber stamping. From that point on, I was an avid stamper... couldn't get enough of it... and you know the rest of the story. I also took time to drool over Stamp Storage and More's scrumptious cabinets. Work of art, each and every one of them.

We had super help in San Mateo! Michele helped us set up and also helped on Saturday. Brycen, Barbara, Kim and Julie helped cover us both Saturday and Sunday and even helped us pack up. Barbara and Julie both spent a good deal of their time demoing... in fact, I think everyone did a little demoing at one time or another. I like that! I always learn something from watching others demo. Our booth was soooo well taken care of, Mr Evo and I could have been gone and no one would have noticed. Thanks to all of you... you were superb!

And thanks, Kim, for the fresh-off-the-tree Kiwi's that kept our energy going. Last year was the year Kim taught us that Kiwi's don't grow on trees in slices. And, she taught us how to eat them with a spoon, straight out of the peel! Amazing.

Mr Evo almost got into the bad graces of one the cleaning ladies at the show. He apparently kept dropping paper clippings on the floor around his demo area (although he says I was the guilty party the couple of times I took his place making the pop-up flowers during his mysterious "walk-abouts"). She finally asked him how he made those flowers, so he made one for her plus gave her the stamp he used (being careful not to drop the clippings, of course). He's no dummy... he could keep blaming me if she hadn't actually see him in the act of littering.

We're leaving tomorrow morning for the drive to the Duluth show. Cevo will be here covering the home base as usual... and she's soooo good. I forgive you Cevo, for your teenage years. ;}>

Hoping to see a lot of you this weekend... should be a gooood show, Folks!
