Heyyyyyy, Folks...

Been home a few hours ... whadda trip!
So here's my report... lickety-splip!
Three shows this month... this was our second for April, you know...
NJ then Milwaukee... now Vegas to go.

All should have gone as smooth as can be...
All scheduling done with happiness and glee...
Until helper Ron disappeared last week,
Leaving his part of the schedule for Mr Evo, Cevo and me... eeeek! :{<>

We made our flight to Milwaukee with minutes to spare...
And are sooooooooo glad we did, because many of you were there.
And, you, my friends, are why we keep going and going and going...

Stress???? Naw... we prefer to call it " a challenge". And, if we're really, really ready to leave the day after tomorrow (exactly 41 hours and 35 minutes from now with vulcanizing and cutting and counting and sorting and packaging and re-packing yet to be done) for the show in Las Vegas, we'll know we were up to that challenge. If we're not ready... then and only then... we may be forced to refer to it as "stress". ;}>

Yes! We are soooo glad we went to the Milwaukee show. It was the first annual Rubber Stamp Expo to be held there, and you stampers proved this weekend you want the show to return next year. Scott did a marvelous job of organizing and advertising the show. The only complaint I heard was that there should have been a separate line for pre-show-ticket-holders to get in Saturday. That was corrected Sunday and will be in effect next year, for sure.

Mega Rubber Orchids to Melinda, Sandy, Kerri, Laura, and Carol for your fantastic help before, during and after the show. I know I've said this many times before about the shows we attend and the stampers that help us ... and each and every time it's true ... We Couldn't Have Done It Without You. You made it soooooooo easy for us. You heard our cry for help and you answered. You all went above and beyond your call of duty to help us. We appreciate you more than we can ever convey in words. Thank you.

A year or so ago I started labeling my show reports as "show/people" reports, because that's usually how the reports seem to end up... about the shows... but more about the people we meet on our way to and from and at the shows. And, I guess that's not a bad thing, maybe, because no one has said to me (yet) ... "Enough is enough, Evo!" Well, Mr Evo did say that to me once, but I forgave him immediately because, well, because he's Mr Evo and puts up with my ramblings 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and has done that for a Lot Of Years! :}>

I said this was going to be a "lickety split" oops "lickety splip" report, and I'm failing that I think, sooooo... here it is:

Milwaukee was a great show for us! Thanks to all of you that came and perused our stuff and gave us feed-back and let us know who you were.

Cevo's glittered-cork-butterfly-pins flew out of our booth the first day. Look for them in Vegas this weekend but you'd better be fast!!! They go quickly.

Next year when you go to the Milwaukee show, be sure to eat at Pallas Family Restaurant on 108th. Food is fantastic, people are friendly, decor is awesome, and Rick the waiter is a DJ and will draw wonderful maps on your place mat of The Grand Ole Opry.

And don't expect to see LaVerne and Shirley dancing arm in arm on the streets of Milwaukee. Mr Evo and I scoured the town ... they aren't there. :{/

At Walgreen's on the corner of 108th and Greenfield, there's a tall pharmacist that weighs over 200 lbs, works out to stay in ship-shape condition and can open any cap of any lotion or ointment that you can't. But, that's another story, and I'm trying to make this report fast.

Lots of great vendors were at this show. Met Kerry and DH of OKR again... met them first at the TX show in January. Polly of Polly's Pals was there... is always a joy to see her. Ran into Mary Kay and son of Stamp Camp at the airport for the first time ever in an airport... Mary Kay is at most of the shows we're at, and guess what! She's just as friendly and nice in airports as she is at the shows. Finally got to meet Oscar's of Appleton, WI... have heard about Oscar's for years... now have a face to put with the name.

And sooo many other great vendors and stampers and stories but time is really running out for me... gotta get up early and fire up the vulcanizers... been a while since I've had to do that... but it's ok... I've sort of missed it. Now... to catch that plane to Vegas in hmmmmmm how many hours? A challenge.... but one that will be fun to meet. Because, it's the shows where we get to meet you.
