Heyyyyy, Folks...
Mr Evo and I returned yesterday from the West Springfield MA show, and I'm in trouble. That's trouble... spelled with a T ending in an E ... trouble. But not spelled "pool" as in River City. (er, um, if you've never seen that movie, I'm sure you're lost right now as I type the very first line of my show report. :{/)
Many of you have put up with my show reports since the mid 90's on AOL, when I first began them. And trust me, Folks... River City having a Pool Hall was noooooo match to some of the trips Mr Evo and I have taken to the shows over the years. If something could go wrong it did. If something didn't go wrong, it did later. But, without those "wrongs", I wouldn't have had half the fun writing about our show trips as I did and still do.
When the shows became easier... less miss-haps ... I found myself almost apologizing. Then, thankfully, ;}> (that's an evo winky face, by the way), occasionally a wonderfully awful thing would happen that I could laugh at and relay to you. I guess that's my forte... seeing the funny side of miss-haps... was born that way. Can't help myself.
Sooooooooo, no. I'm not apologizing today for a perfect trip , a perfect show , a perfect return home. Well, close to perfect... perfection is really hard to come by, as we all know.
Here was our trip in a nutshell: Perfect Flight on Delta both going and coming home ... Perfect Helpers as in Cindy H & Debbie (PamperedStamper) L & Maryann M & Judy W & Donn@ T & Penny G & Angie D & Maryann's Mom, and Donn@'s boyfriend John ( we packed up from the show in only 1 hr and 20 minutes! :{<>) ... Perfect Hotel as in Quality Inn and Perfect Food as in Chili's & Piccadilly's Pub & The Chinese Buffet at the Quality Inn & even the cafe at the show (my weighing scales can attest to that :{/).
Didn't have time to cruise the other booths. But... from what I hear, they were spectacular! How do I know this?? Stampers told me so, and... yep... you've got it... Mr Evo took a couple of "walk-abouts" and has told me the same thing, too.
One really neat instant... just as we were finishing setting up our booth Friday, we realized we were situated a tad too close to Art Gone Wild and needed to move our booth over and down some. Our booth consisted of 6 tables all "tied" together by one long, long fabric skirt, so if we moved it, it had to be done all at one time. Ted of Art Gone Wild put out a cry for help and within seconds, we had not only Art Gone Wild, but also Marco's, Stampers Anonymous, Just For Fun, and a couple of others doing a sychronized pushme-pullme maneuver that moved the entire booth with ease. Yes, folks... vendors are friendly and soooo helpful to one another... in case you ever wondered.
Sideline notes to the show:
Our house is haunted. Yep, must be true, 'cause Cevo assures me of this. She was here by herself working over-time answering email and shipping Saturday when the house did a "paper" haunting thingy. I think this may be another story for another time. Mr Evo and I are dilligently investigating. ;}>
West Springfield and the C5A. Does anyone know what a C5A is??? It's a bigggggggggg airplane... takes up a LOT of sky. And it whistles as it slowly (looks slow 'cause it's soooo big) moves across the sky. Way back in the 70's when we lived north of Atlanta in Cobb County... we saw this plane often. It was in its developmental stage at Lockheed then. Had forgotten about it until this past weekend. Maybe the plane we saw cruising around this weekend wasn't a C5A, but it brought back good memories of Georgia and sure did look like one. Anyone know???
Trees and leaves. As most of you know, I'm into plants and trees big time. Love them. I sat outside our room at the Quality Inn this weekend during free moments and watched the evergreen trees (some type of conifer) that lined the parking lot. Lots of new growth on the trees. The interesting thing was... while I know sun flowers and other flowers follow the sun as it crosses the sky... the new growth on these trees was always was facing the opposite direction. At night... faced east... in the morning, the new growth was facing west. Guess maybe they are just slower to react??? Don't know. Anyone know???
Told you I was in trouble on this report, didn't I! :}>
Thanks to all of you who were at this show! And.... there were a LOT of you! And thanks to all of you who told me you read and enjoy my show reports.
This one's for you...
Please love it too.
Because I love writing them and without you, I wouldn't have anyone to read my writing. :}>
