Marble Stamping

(Branching Out)
Stamping on Paper? Cork? Acetate?
That's all wonderful and good, but don't be afraid to branch out and experiment with other basic materials for your art. I LUV marble stamping. This one sits in an honored place on our fireplace mantel and has been enjoyed there for over 5 years.



I just recently stamped the ones below ...
mainly to remind myself how much fun it is!

These were stamped with Document Black Ink, then color was added by placing a matching EvoStencil over the image and stippling in color from a Memories Electric RainBow Pad.





I left this one uncolored ... I liked the play of the black-stamped image against the black, white and grays of this piece of marble.



While I've used only inks to stamp and color ... can you see the possibilities of other embellishments? Beads, charms, collaged elements?

By the way, I call these marble stampings "Lay-Abouts, Lean-Abouts, Hang-Abouts" ... because that's what I do with them.
