Shannon's Tag

Okey dokey, folks...
So many of you at the Las Vegas and Daytona shows zeroed in on Shannon Green's Tag Art that was on our table. I promised I would find out how she made it, soooo here it is, in her own words:

"The first thing I did was use some metal printers type to pound the word 'autumn' on the cork. I think you can get these from Rubber Gems (or from my garage if you're special enough). Then to color the cork I just patted it with several different colors of dye ink pads. The word is impressed into the cork so it doesn't pick up the ink.

The leaves were stamped and embossed on a background of either Pearlescent Liquid Acrylics or Powdered Pearls mixed with Mod Podge on dark cardstock. I've done them both ways many times and can't remember which I used for this particular tag. Sometimes I brush the color on, sometimes I sponge it or stipple it. It's also possible that I stamped and embossed over purchased exotic paper. I would have to see them close up to remember.

When I make something, once it leaves my hands it's as if it never existed...I can't remember what I did. I think that's partly because I work on several different projects at once, mixing images and backgrounds."

There you have it, folks. The leaves are from Rubber Die Plate #43, the cork is the roll of paper-thin EvoCork. And... I don't think we had the Tag Templates at the time Shannon made her tag, but if we had... I'm sure she would have used them. :}>

The cork was glued to a black cardstock tag... the leaves also are on black cardstock. Two of the leaves were glued directly to the cork... the other 3 are mounted with pop dots.

Thanks, Shannon, we appreciate you!
